ALTAR MINISTRY
Creating a loving accepting moment in time for God to work in people’s lives.

• There is no greater joy than being part of leading someone to Jesus. Those who share in the Altar Ministry have the distinct privilege of talking one-on-one with those who have courageously stepped out to accept Jesus as Lord or to re-commit their lives to Him.

• Those who participate are responsible for giving responders appropriate material, answering questions, praying with them, and guiding them to the next step.

• There are several teams of altar people and this ministry never takes you away from a regular service. It does, of course, move you to the front row where you’re up-close and part of the miracle of salvation over and over again.

GREETERS MINISTRY
Creating a feeling of hospitality and welcome to all those who come through our doors.

• Whichever service one chooses to attend, there are always greeters waiting on them… to make sure they are welcome, and to extend a hand of fellowship and friendship.

• A warm handshake is essential… a warm smile is even more important.

• Greeters work on the front lines. They help prepare open hearts for the moments that follow their encounter with each person.

• Those who work in this ministry are scheduled on a rotating basis and can choose to be part of the Wednesday, Saturday, or Sunday service schedule.

HOSPITAL VISITATION MINISTRY
Creating times of encouragement, through the sharing of scripture, the power of prayer and loving acts of kindness.

• We always want our church family to know that they are loved and cared for. In times of illness or injury, we come alongside to pray and encourage people to stand in faith, to weather the storm and to remain victorious.

• Those in the Hospital Visitation Ministry make personal visits, take materials that might be helpful to both patients and loved ones, and stay in touch to monitor progress and continue prayer support.

• Through prayer, teaching, support and comfort, this ministry is on the front-lines working directly with people who need a touch from God.

MINISTRY OF MEALS
Creating added help and convenience to those experiencing both times of joy and periods of crisis.

• Effective help is always practical help, and this ministry provides meals for families when they need it most.

• When a baby is born, it’s a delight to know meals are cooked and brought to the door for a few days. When a family loses a loved one or experiences the draining schedule of caring for a family member with an illness, what a welcomed act of kindness to have meals prepared and delivered.

• This is a practical, down to earth way of showing God’s love, and the ministry requires no special training or skill. Just do for others what you already do for your own family.

PRAYER MINISTRY
The prayer ministry creates a cover of prayer and intercession during all services and throughout the week.

• Our prayer team meets one night a week, and is on site to pray during weekly services. The prayer team is also available at the close of each service to pray for specific needs, share words of scripture, and to minister the power of the Holy Spirit.

• Those who participate in the prayer ministry feel led by the Holy Spirit to do so. Most have the gift of intercession and are constantly maturing in their relationship with Jesus Christ.

• Classes are available for those who wish to understand the different venues of prayer, specifically that which is outlined in I Corinthians 14:2.

SAFETY MINISTRY
The safety ministry creates a welcoming, safe, and secure environment.

• From the time our guests enter the parking lot, until the time they leave, the should feel well cared for and protected.

• The safety team is trained to make sure that every child and every adult can relax and feel free to participate and enjoy every service and event here.

• Made up of both men and women, the team members are always available to handle both ordinary and emergency situations. Acting decisively and effectively, their presence is felt and their skills are available when needed.

USHERS MINISTRY
Creating a place for everyone and facilitating an organized flow in all services.

• The heartbeat of this ministry is serving people. Whatever the need, large or small, we see that it is taken care of.

• Welcoming people into the sanctuary, seating them and making sure they are comfortable, are all part if the ushers’ responsibility. Receiving offerings, being of assistance to pastors and special speakers, guiding people to the Children’s Department, and pointing out other services of the church are all part of this ministry as well.

• We are always looking for those with a servant’s heart, a warm handshake, a pleasant manner, and a love for people.

WELCOME CENTER
The welcome center creates a central information area for both first time visitors and regular attendees.

• The welcome center is just the place for that person who wears a warm smile and overflows with the kind of friendliness that rubs off on anyone that passes.

• The opportunity to meet first time visitors, present them with a gift, and make sure their questions are answered is one unique opportunity found only at the welcome center.

• This particular location becomes the hub of current and future events. The people who staff it become the personal contact for all those wishing to become more involved in church activities.
